Meet and Greets

Join us for a delightful encounter with one of the most charming and gentle creatures...an alpaca! Get up close and personal as you pet, feed, and learn all about these fascinating animals, from their soft fleece to their unique personalities. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and experience the joy of interacting with these friendly companions. Please note that, for safety reasons, this experience is currently open to visitors aged 5 and above.

We can't wait to welcome you!

What might you need to bring?

  • In order to remain safe (but mainly dry) you will need sturdy wellies or boots, warm clothes and  suitable waterproofs for our great British weather. No umbrellas please the Alpacas haven't yet worked out what an umbrella is! Even if it is sunny outside, the ground may still be wet and slippy.

  • In summer we advise to bring suncream for those hot sunny days. Make sure to bring water and stay hydrated. There will be an opportunity for you to purchase refreshments from the cafe during opening times - pre-booking is required.

Late arrivals

Pease arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your experience. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be able to take part as you will have missed our mandatory Safety talk. Please allow plenty of time for your journey as we would be unable to allow latecomers to join the walking group.

Cancellations

Please give 72 hrs notice to cancel or reschedule your walk. Sadly under 72 hrs notice we will not be able to reschedule or refund your booking.

Fun facts about alpacas feeding habits...

Modified Ruminants:

Unlike cows, alpacas have a three-chambered stomach instead of four, helping them efficiently digest food.
